GDPR – Your Privacy Is Important to Us
We understand how important data is to your business. That’s why we ensure your data is protected and take full responsibility for handling it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The GDPR took effect on May 25, 2018, replacing the Data Protection Directive (1995) and the Swedish Personal Data Act (PUL, 1998). It applies to all EU companies and to global companies processing personal data within the EU.
At MAUS Sweden AB, we have developed new policies and guidelines that govern our entire organization to ensure compliance.
Your Data Is Safe with Us Because:
• We make sure your data is protected in the right way
• We are fully committed to following the new laws
• We help you get the most out of your data
• We ensure you have access to your data whenever you need it
Measures Implemented Before May 25:
• Defined and documented the legal basis for our processing of personal data
• Updated privacy policy covering data transfers, retention periods, data purpose, responsibility, and access rights
• Established internal routines to detect, report, and investigate personal data breaches
• Ensured compliance with the GDPR’s consent principle, clearly informing you of how and why we use your data
• Adapted our systems to meet the EU law and individuals’ right to erasure
• Ensured all third-party providers we use also comply with the GDPR
About the GDPR
The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) replaces the previous frameworks from 1995 and 1998. Unlike previous EU directives, the GDPR is a law that applies directly in all EU member states without national implementation delays.
Previously, each EU country had its own rules regarding email marketing and spam. With the GDPR, the same law now applies across the entire EU.
